Amsler Grid Test<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Download the white or black Amsler grid (the choice of color is irrelevant to the test result). You can print it or view it on a computer screen at 100% size.<\/li>\n
  • Place yourself 30-40 cm from the grid.<\/li>\n
  • Do not remove your glasses or contact lenses if you normally
    \nwear them.<\/li>\n
  • Cover one eye and focus on the dot at the centre of the grid.<\/li>\n
  • If the lines around the dot appear wavy, distorted or blurred at
    \nany point, your macula may be a\u2000ected and you should see
    \nyour ophthalmologist without further delay.<\/li>\n

    OSDI Test – Dry Eye<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The OSDI (Ocular Surface Disease Index\u00ae) Test is a diagnostic test that helps classify and measure the severity of dry eye syndrome based on its symptoms.<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Download and print the OSDI Test in pdf.<\/li>\n
    • Answer the following questions by selecting the box with the score that best defines the frequency of your symptoms.<\/li>\n
    • Add up and note down the results of each block of questions (1, 2 and 3).<\/li>\n
    • Add up the results and note them down in the “Total” box.<\/li>\n
    • Note down the total number of answers you have responded (not counting those marked “Not known”).<\/li>\n
    • The formula for calculating the OSDI is “Total x 25 \/ Total number of answers”.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Ishihara Test for Colour Blindness<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

      The Ishihara Test, which was created by Dr Shinobu Ishihara in 1917, is an essential test for diagnosing colour blindness. It uses images with coloured dot patterns that form numbers which are only visible to people with normal vision. It is a simple, albeit e\u2000ective tool for identifying visual defects.<\/p>\n
