What is Tridocosahexanoína-AOX®?
An enriched source of DHA developed by BRUDY in the form of a re-esterified triglyceride, highly purified and structured to ensure its bioavailability and biological efficacy.
Synthesis of Tridocosahexanoína-AOX® in 3 steps:
- DHA from a sustainable source. Fish triglycerides from sustainable sources that follow environmentally responsible practices.
- Pure, high-quality DHA. Cholesterol, phytanic acid and most fatty acids other than DHA are removed to obtain an oil concentrated at 70% DHA. Through filtration, the oil is purified of environmental contaminants, heavy metals, fish proteins and microbial contaminants.
- Tridocosahexanoína-AOX®, a source of DHA. Re-esterification with proprietary enzymes to obtain oil in triglyceride form with an increased percentage of DHA in the central position (Sn-2).
What happens in the body?
Digestive lipases break the bonds in positions Sn-1 and Sn-3. The monoglyceride with DHA in the central position is absorbed through the enterocyte. It is rapidly transformed into DHA phospholipids and can be incorporated into the cell membrane.
